Local Test & Defect Coordinator

Contract (0.7 FTE)

Role Description:

  • Ensures local test preparations and execution activities are performed against project timelines
  • Sets up and leads local defect calls in order to close local defects in a timely fashion
  • Supports the identification Local Key Users and Local Test Data
  • Aligns/communicates with Central Test Management and Functional Test Coordinators on planning, scope of activities, and status
  • Supports the Functional Test Coordinators on Test Script and Scenario Setup
  • Reports status at country level to the local Business and IT leads and escalates when needed
  • Coordinates Local Defect Resolution starting as of the first Test Cycle

Role Criteria:

  • Familiar with the local organisation

  • Good coordination and communication skills

  • Ability to act as a central point of contact

  • Understanding of the Test Process and Business impacts

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Deliver input to FTC during test planning (e.g. holidays, other constraints)

  • Identification and confirmation of Key Users for support during Cycle 1 System Test (limited), and also for Integration test, regression test and UAT execution

  • Send Key User outlook invitations and arrange local facilities

  • Review/ definition of local test scope/scripts in close cooperation with BPO network/ Key Users

  • Co-ordinate delivery of specific master data for testing

  • Co-ordination of local testing for all relevant systems involved (includes following up on test execution progress and defects directly with local KUs)

  • Join daily status meeting with FTCs during execution if required

  • Provide local inputs before the Exit Review meeting

  • Hosts and chairs the daily local defect management meeting

  • Performs defects triage of country specific defects 

  • Assigns defects to responsible resolution owner and team and actively contacts resources assigned to a defect when no progress is seen

  • Interacts with the (cross Work Stream) stakeholders of a defect

  • Changes the status of defects when needed

  • Follows up on re-test execution

  • Escalates critical issues or defects blocking testing

  • Performs QA/hygiene checks on defects under their country

  • Sponsor within the stream/country for proper defect management
